This is a great devotional app. Downloading is a no-brained if you appreciate the writings of John Piper and what is produced by Desiring God. The only negative is not being able to select or change the font. That should be added as an option.

While there is no substitute for daily personal time in in the Word, Solid Joys gives insight into just how much treasure there is to find. John Piper is a great exegetical preacher and these devotionals are bite-size nuggets of deep biblical teaching / rebuking / correcting / training in righteousness.

Great app, very easy to use. Content is amazing, and extremely encouraging. I love that there is a notification option to remind me to be in the Word every day! Its amazing how even technology can be used for Gods glory.

I am really enjoying the app. It is uncluttered and direct, allowing you to just get to the message of the day without extra fuss. There are 2 things I would add to make it perfect and complete: Highlight the verses so you could link to the actual verse/chapter in the Bible. Also I would really love a place for notes. Something I read today sparked a thought that I wanted to remember and I was caught scrambling for a place to write it down.

John Piper gives us a tasteful way of enjoying both Gods goodness and excellent devotional planning and writing in this app. Each days devotional starts with scripture (I believe in ESV) and then Piper breaks it down for us with his own inspiring thoughts and words straight from the Spirit. I have been using this app everyday for a year and I still have not grown tired of it.

I downloaded this app at the beginning of this year, hoping to come closer to Christ in my daily devotional. Within a week, I had my husband download it as well so that we could share and discuss the amazing messages. They are very relevant and well written. Each message begins with a scripture, then proceeds to explain and give more in depth insights into that particular scripture. Many days, I have found myself reading and rereading the message for that day. I have recommended this app to all of my friends who are looking for a daily devotion that is very reflective and easy to understand.

I download this app a few months ago for my phone and used a few times. Then I downloaded it to a new iPad and have been using it every day first thing in the morning. What an excellent way to read the Word. It gives a single verse then expands on it through an explanation that even I can understand. The only thing I would add is to be able to link to the Bible app so that I could be able to read more of the chapter but that isnt a big deal. If you looking for a good devotional give this one a try.

I am daily invited to know God better through this collection of devotionals. In a lost world that is spiraling downward, this is an invitation to know the "outcome" and journey with our Lord more fully and with a clear view of the unerring Scripture. Thank you!

I couldnt ask for a better devotional app!

I had searched a long time for a good devotional app and heard about this one from a friend recently. As apps (solo); good solid scripture based, biblical, evangelical and Protestant, are concerned I had found zero. But this one meets all those criteria. Well put together and easy to read, very convicting in truth and spirit and completely biblical. Thank you so much!

John doesnt mince words and can get to the core of what God cares about. I dont start my morning without this. Its worse than forgetting my coffee when I skip it.

I am certain this is NOT your intention AT ALL but whenever I glance at the app on my phone I first think Im looking at a swastica- could you change the color scheme to blue and green or something?? I know it is a trick of the eyes but it really does look similar. Content and function is terrific!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
